I’m new. Is there a favorite way or path that folks use this info?

Well, there are a ton of ways that you could use the info. Some people like to use it to find a path to research. For example, going to the data and seeing that a ton of politicians are buying a particular stock. Then you could look more into that stock with either more alternative data (legislation, lobbying, etc...) or more traditional indicators

I’ve noticed there seems to be quite a difference in time between the buy of the stock and the report of that buy. Generally speaking.

Sometimes that's true, we've seen that usually there is an average of about two weeks delay between the trade and the disclosure date. We have also seen however that that doesn't really have as much of an effect as you would think. There are several examples of the stock making it's big move after the politician actually discloses it, which means we can actually make a decision on whether or not to get in with them

From what i've seen, its a pretty powerful tool to have in the arsenal. We do research as well to help find different ideas that everyone can look into. Our community helps out too sometimes, just today @lazarus2k4 had an interesting find in $CSGP stock 🔥

I’m fairly new to stock trading. So I don’t have much. I have some Delta stock from a couple years ago. But nothing new. But I saw a 60 minutes show a couple years back where it basically described the people in Congress as inside traders. And when you make that kind of money, they’re never going to change it. So instead of fight it, I thought I’d try to ride the coattails a little. We’ll see how it goes.

Also, if your looking for some inspiration I bought some AMD earlier this year because Marjorie Taylor Greene and a couple others were loading up during the dip. It’s going well Up ~139% so far

Is there a list or chart of the most successful government traders?

I suggest exploring the different Tabs. We’re currently in the “chat” tab. While on the “Research” tab I find that @Jackson is pretty on the ball with quickly summarizing ideas there.

Off the top of my head we have seen that the most popular politicians to follow generally are Debbie Wasserman Shultz - Really good at small cap stock trades Nancy Pelosi - She's consistently good year by year. Always performs well Marjorie Taylor Greene - Wasn't good in the past, but this year she is doing amazing There are other politicians that have had some plays that are incredible Cleo Fields has had a few trades that are up a ton [$OPEN](https://www.altoneer.com/all-trades/941365), [$IREN](https://www.altoneer.com/all-trades/941413) and others Markwayne Mullin bought L3Harris around a month before the Big Beautiful Bill, which had legislation about the Golden Dome. L3Harris is going to be a major beneficiary of the Golden Dome bill. Markwayne knew a lot about how L3Harris was going to benefit before it became public. What you can do is keep watch in here, our social pages, and the website and there will be trades to investigate all the time.

Look at Lisa Mclains RGTI trade. Only up 200% since July 17. But just now disclosed that purchase.

That one was an amendment to her previous disclosure I believe. If something like that happens we miss out. I wouldn't take it as a total loss though because it proves her track record, and can give us better insight on how good she is at trading stocks. That way when a future disclosure comes out in the future we can go in with more confidence.

Did you see that Marjorie Taylor Greene just disclosed some trades today? She traded those ones 5 days ago. I'm about to go look into those 💪

This is just another example of how delays "sometimes" don't matter. & within a reasonable timeline Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene disclosed a buy of $CAH Cardinal Health yesterday Did it rocket less than 24 hours later? Yep. +18% after a massive earnings beat

I noticed what you wrote about Tim Moore. My take on it is that he bought it, then sold it for a giant profit, and then was out of the trade before he ever disclosed any of this.

Is there any way to find out about it sooner, or is their disclosure the only way?

@F45 Love that your getting deep with the research. With the Intel for instance, yes he did sell a big chunk. When the politicians disclose 'selling' trades they have the option to disclose it as a "Sale" or a "Full Sale" He filed as a sale, suggesting that he still owns some stock. But that's a fair observation that you had. He likely doesn't own much if I had to guess.

Unless Pelosi is your husband, you might know sooner xD ... Yeah, the only way the public knows is after they disclose.

Yeah, earnings season is crazy. I didn't see much connection there with that one.

Here's one that I found that has to do with earnings that 'might' be compelling. Definitely worth a watch. But no guarantees if it goes up during earnings. No financial advice by any means.

Dang Bitcoin getting destroyed out there. The one politician that disclosed the $BTC buy has never disclosed a a trade before. He's down a good chunk on it last I checked.
